As a former attorney in the Air Force and father of five, Anthony Spratley brings unique skills to his practice of family law. He applies the discipline and leadership qualities he learned in the military to his management of the Genus Law Group and the patience and compassion he has learned as a parent to his legal practice. Anthony understands that many of his clients are going through a difficult time and he is committed to helping them through to the other side after a divorce, custody battle, or child support dispute.
Proud to Serve the People of New Mexico
After attending Eastern New Mexico University and New Mexico School of Law, Anthony and his wife decided to settle in New Mexico. Anthony served in the Air Force as a Judge Advocate General (JAG) and retired as a USAF Reserve JAG. In the military, Anthony prosecuted criminal cases, worked on labor cases, and provided general legal advice. As a first-generation college graduate, Anthony wanted to put his education to work helping people in their everyday lives. He decided to focus on family law to do just that.
Giving Back to the Community
On top of protecting the rights of individuals in family law matters, Anthony is dedicated to helping the next generation as a youth football, basketball, and baseball coach. He believes that children can learn how to be productive citizens by playing sports and he loves being able to contribute to their growth as athletes and young adults. He is also an athletic booster for Highland High School in Albuquerque, helping this Title I school get the outside funding they need so that their sports programs can compete with other well-funded schools in the district.
